Chapter 3 Getting Started

Introduction

What is a email to SMS gateway?

Email to SMS gateway is the term used to describe a service

transforming messages to mobile network traffic from other media, or

vice versa, allowing transmission or receipt of SMS messages without

the use of a mobile phone.

Getting Started: Launching Fluid SMS Gateway for the first time

All configuration settings for Fluid SMS Gateway are carried out from

the Fluid SMS Gateway management console. To open the

management console click on: Start > All Programs > Fluid SMS

Gateway > Fluid Manager. After clicking, your default browser will

launch the application.

First Screen – License Configuration

The first time that the application is launched, the ‘License

Configuration ‘ will open up by default. If you have already bought the

product, a license key would have issued to you. Please enter the

license key in the text box and click ‘Apply’. If you are evaluating the

product, please click ‘Click Here For 30 Days Evaluation’ to start

evaluation of the software for 30 days. The software will cease to work

on the 31 days if no valid license is entered by then.
