FCCPart68Telecom

1. Thisequipmentcomplieswithpart68oftheFederalCommunicationsCommissionRules.Ontheoutsidesurfaceofthis

equipmentisalabelthatcontains,amongotherinformation,theFCCregistrationnumber.Thisinformationmustbe

providedtothetelephonecompany.

2. ThesuitableUSOCjack(UniversalServiceOrderCodeconnectingarrangement)forthisequipmentisshownbelow.If

applicable,thefacilityinterfacecodes(FIC)andserviceordercodes(SOC)areshown.

3. AnFCC‐complianttelephonecordandmodularplugisprovidedwiththisequipment.Thisequipmentisdesignedtobe

connectedtothetelephonenetworkorpremiseswiringusingacompatiblemodularjackthatisPart68compliant.See

installationinstructionsfordetails.

4. Theringerequivalencenumber(REN)isusedtodeterminethenumberofdevicesthatmaybeconnectedtothe

telephoneline.ExcessiveRENsonthetelephonelinemayresultinthedevicenotringinginresponsetoanincomingcall.

Inmost,butnotall,areasthesumoftheRENs

shouldnotexceed5.0.Tobecertainofthenumberofdevicesthatmaybe

connectedtotheline,asdeterminedbythetotalRENs,contactthelocaltelephonecompany.

5. Ifthisequipmentcausesharmtothetelephonenetwork,thetelephonecompanywillnotifyyouinadvancethat

temporarydiscontinuanceofservicemayberequired.Butifadvancenoticeisnotpractical,thetelephonecompanywill

notifyyouassoonaspossible.Also,youwillbeadvisedofyourrightto

fileacomplaintwiththeFCCifyoubelieveitis

necessary.

6. Thetelephonecompanymaymakechangesinitsfacilities,equipment,operations,orproceduresthatcouldaffectthe

operationoftheequipment.Ifthishappens,thetelephonecompanywillprovideadvancenoticeinorderforyouto

makenecessarymodificationsinordertomaintainuninterruptedservice.

7. Iftroubleisexperiencedwiththisequipment(themodelofwhichisindicatedbelow)pleasecontactMulti‐TechSystems,

Inc.attheaddressshownbelowfordetailsofhowtohaverepairsmade.Ifthetroubleiscausingharmtothetelephone

network,thetelephonecompanymayrequestyouremovethe

equipmentfromthenetworkuntiltheproblemis

resolved.

8. Norepairsaretobemadebyyou.RepairsaretobemadeonlybyMulti‐TechSystemsoritslicensees.Unauthorized

repairsvoidregistrationandwarranty.

9. Thisequipmentshouldnotbeusedonpartylinesorcoinlines.

10. Ifsorequired,thisequipmentishearingaidcompatible.
